Aimee Robinson (she/her) - Principal

Aimee primarily works with Adults diagnosed with Depression or Adjustment Disorder, or adults experiencing grief and loss, anxiety or trauma related responses. Aimee works with Children 8 years and older, and Teens/Youth experiencing emotional dysregulation, anxiety responses, symptoms of depression and trauma related responses.

Aimee has a special interest in working with females with reproductive mood disorders, such as: Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), experiencing mood disruptions, emotional dysregulations, suicidal ideation patterns within the menstrual cycle.

Aimee is trauma informed exhibiting a deep sense of empathy, curiosity, and open-mindedness to work alongside vulnerable adults and children to support individuals to find their strengths, achieve their goals, and work towards positive change.

 

Counselling/Psychotherapy

Aimee has extensive practice in Counselling with a particular focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness techniques in talk based therapeutic approaches.

Aimee has extensive practice in Expressive Art Therapy including evidenced-based art and sand-tray therapy to incorporate deeper awareness when words are not enough, or emotions are difficult to express.

Aimee understands that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach, and as such, offers treatment plans across modalities incorporating counselling, expressive arts and Reiki treatments for recovery focus and optimal outcome. Aimee adopts a trauma-informed and client-centred approach.

Reiki Master

Aimee has extensive practice providing professional Reiki treatments for Adults experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief and loss and trauma.  Reiki Treatments focus on the Autonomic Nervous System function, allowing the physical body to relax and encourage rest and digestion and improve motivation during times of mental health issues and exhaustion.

Symond (Sy) Whittle (he/him) – Counsellor B.Counselling.

  • Incorporated where appropriate - solution focused therapy, positive psychology, gestalt therapy.

Sy primarily works with 18years+ adults diagnosed with depression and anxiety, adults experiencing grief and loss, adults feeling disconnected from themselves and/or the world around them.

Sy has extensive experience working with adults recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, managing guilt and shame, addressing behavioural change, building social and communication skills, and increasing emotional awareness.

Sy joins us after working exclusively in the Alcohol and Drug residential rehabilitation sector for the last 7 years, leading staff and supporting residents through their journey of recovery, rehabilitation and integration to the wider community with the goal to experience productive and fulfilling lives.

Cathryn has a special interest in gender and sexual diversity and inclusivity and the impact this can have on individuals who identify as gender diverse and the people who support them.

    Cathryn has a deep sense of empathy, curiosity, and open-mindedness to work alongside people when vulnerable, and support individuals to find their strengths, achieve their goals, and work towards positive change.
